Only have a few minutes to lay it down. Bottom line: I'm alive and in Germany for the next few days. Here are a couple hints for travelers to Europe:
1. Europe is sweet
2. All Europeans love 80's and 90's music. Also JT. And techno.
3. You are not allowed to speak Turkish in Germany. Don't even think about it.

I haven't been in too much trouble, except for not choosing what kind of fish and chips I wanted fast enough and incurring the wrath of an angry Teuton matron. Fortunately the kid behind the counter in a fake fisherman get-up came to my defense with a bitterly sarcastic rebuke. Thank you, fake fisherman kid, your delivery was flawless.
